Running on Biodiesel
Using biodiesel as an alternative to standard fuels can be cheaper and better for the environment. Some people also believe that this kind of alternative fuel can even help improve the performance of your car. But, it is important to remember that you need to check if your car can run on biodiesel before you start using it. If your car is not suitable then you could completely ruin the engine.
Biodiesel is basically not suitable for cars that run on petrol - it works on diesel run cars. Most diesel engines can run on biodiesel. If they are not suitable then you may find that you simply need a couple of slight modifications to sort this out.
You may also find that you will need to replace your fuel filters shortly after you start using biodiesel. This kind of fuel actually goes through your petrol tank and connecting pipes and collects up a lot of the built-in debris that standard fuel has built up - this can clog your fuel filter quite quickly. But, once you've done this first change, then this should not be an issue again as the biodiesel will have removed the build up and will operate normally.
It may also be worth while checking with your car's manufacturer to see if they recommend a certain type of biodiesel for your car. They may also be able to give help and advice here. Many newer cars are now being marketed with the ability to use biodiesel in some form in any case.
